The core contributors hail from iconic tech companies like Coinbase, YouTube, Google, Paypal, Dropbox, and Pinterest. Our founders are serial entrepreneurs, and multiple team members have founded and exited successful ventures.

Josh Fraser

Cofounder

Josh started coding at the age of 10. Prior to Origin, he co-founded three other venture-backed companies: EventVue, Torbit (acquired by Walmart Labs) & Forage.

Matthew Liu

Cofounder

Matt was the 3rd PM at YouTube (acquired by Google) and VP PM at Qwiki (acquired by Yahoo) and Bonobos (acquired by Walmart). He has a MS and BS from Stanford.

Franck Chastagnol

Head of Engineering - Story

Franck has had a successful career as an early employee at numerous high-profile companies. He previously led engineering teams at Inktomi, Paypal, YouTube, Google and Dropbox.

Micah Alcorn

Director of Product

Micah was the technical co-founder of WellAttended, a bootstrapped box office management platform. He worked as a commercial real estate broker while learning to code.

Nick Poulden

Senior Engineer

Nick studied Computer Science at the University of Warwick. Prior to joining Origin, he worked as an engineer at Sencha, C3 Energy Network and Palo Alto Networks.

Domen Grabec

Engineer

Domen co-founded and led a team developing a mobile application with 2 chess Grandmasters. He previously had a successful career at Cetra, Zemanta and Peerindex.

Shahul Hameed

Engineer

Shahul is a fullstack engineer who started programming at age of 10. He previously worked as a freelancer and then joined Zoho as a front-end developer.

Mike Shultz

Engineer

Mike is a long-time contributor to open-source. He created a dev toolkit for creating Ethereum smart contracts with Python and previously worked with Ethereum and IPFS at Lunyr.

Aure Gimon

Product Designer

Aure is a product designer with 10+ years of experience. Prior to joining Origin, Aure worked at multiple startups and Fortune 500 companies. In a past life, he was also a software engineer.

Daniel Von Fange

Senior Engineer

Daniel brings a strong emphasis on security and data analysis to our team. Daniel has earned a reputation for being able to gather massive amounts of data and create dynamic visualizations at lightning speed.

Chase Colman

Project Manager

Chase comes from creative and marketing agency life in Los Angeles. She’s managed projects and accounts for clients like YouTube, W Hotels, and Stitch Fix. She's now in charge of creator relationship management at Origin.

Eric Charles

Account Manager

Eric was an early employee at Lyft and a founding member of their first B2B solution. He was an account manager at Tophatter and worked at a marketing agency connecting brands with creators and celebrities.

Kara Chang

Executive Assistant

Kara is the executive assistant to Origin co-founders, Josh and Matt. She graduated from UC San Diego and previously managed a team of 10 people at an ecommerce company in Taiwan.

Christopher Jacobs

Senior Engineer

Chris previously worked at OCZ, Toshiba, Storcentric, and Palo Alto Networks as a Full Stack / UI Engineer. He is a creative developer who has over 15 years experience architecting software solutions.

Kelly Hwang

Investments/Treasury

Kelly was previously a successful startup founder and venture investor at Upfront Ventures before spending the last few years investing in DeFi. He has a BA in Economics from Stanford.

Linus Chung

VP of Product

Linus previously worked as Director of Product at Coinbase. Before that, he lead product at companies like Tesla, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford.

Andra Nicolau

Head of BD, OUSD

Andra is a longtime crypto veteran. She was most recently the Head of Growth at 1inch where she raised over $250M. She has spent over 8 years in Silicon Valley and studied Economics at UC Berkeley.

Justin Charlton

Head of Finance

Justin started investing in middle school, designed budgets for launching satellites into space (successfully!), and advised tech clients on M&A and strategy for 7 years at PwC and KPMG.

Tom Hirst

Senior Engineer

Tom helped ship digital projects for the NHS, Umbro, BMW, and Meta before entering Web3. He has launched multiple successful solo endeavors, including most recently, an NFT project with fully on-chain artwork.

Courtney Glover

Head of People

Courtney is a self-proclaimed people person and has spent the better part of the last 10 years helping companies recognize that their greatest asset is their people. Prior to joining Origin she was an early hire at RECUR and worked in government contracting and EdTech.

Peter Gray

BD Manager, OUSD

Peter studied business at Tulane University and worked on the sales teams at Palo Alto Networks, VMware, and Alkemi Network before joining Origin as the OUSD BD Manager. He is a musician, hockey player, and avid skier.

Brooke Honeycutt

Executive Assistant

Brooke received her B.A. at Pepperdine University where she played indoor volleyball. After graduating, Brooke worked as an assistant for Live Nation Entertainment, Bally Sports and Coinbase.

Nick Hong

Senior Engineer

Before Origin, Nick was on product teams at Medium, Eaze, and Instacart, and more recently jumped into Web3 with Driftershoots on his FirstDayOut Open Edition. Outside of work, Nick enjoys kickboxing, meditation, and trying out new cooking with his air fryer.

Matt Bullock

Product Designer

Matt is a product designer specialising in DeFi and Web3 for the past 4 years. He was the first designer to join Augur and later went on to work at Dapper Labs. Before this he was doing the rounds in various advertising and design agencies across London.

Jan Sammut

VP of Marketing

Following a successful 10-year career leading marketing teams in the online gambling sector, Jan set up one of Europe's first blockchain development and marketing studios, successfully launching over 40 projects prior to it being acquired.

Ryan McNamara

Content Marketing Manager

Ryan comes from crypto journalism with a passion for educating the masses on blockchain technology. He scaled Benzinga’s cryptocurrency vertical from tens of thousands to millions of readers and is a recent graduate of The University of Michigan.

Jonathan Snow

Data Engineer

Before joining Origin, Jonathan worked with several crypto and finance brands, focusing on building data pipelines and automation tools. Prior to that, he helped build a company that provided social media user data to a number of startups and PR firms.

Amit Patel

Head of BD, Story

Amit was previously employee #7 at Lyft and was the founder of their b2b division (Lyft Business) which now drives $1B+ in annual revenue. He has spent 15+ years in Silicon Valley and is excited to join Origin and begin building in Web3!

Ariel Meranus

Senior Product Manager

Ariel has spent the last 7+ years learning about and evangelizing the potential of web3. Before joining Origin, she was the Director of Product for an NFT marketplace focused on bringing NFTs to the sports, media, and entertainment verticals.

Rafael Ugolini

Head of Engineering - DeFi

Rafael has several years of experience working in tech in different sectors. He previously worked at mStable, Collibra, and other places, including Sun Microsystems. He has an MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from ESADE.
